The Teaching Regulation Agency is responsible for initial teacher training (ITT) in England. It provides a comprehensive programme of support to help you become a teacher, providing guidance all the way through the application process. Through ITT you’ll receive rigorous training, with new teachers rating their training as a very good preparation for the classroom. There are a number of options available to become a qualified teacher if you’re not a graduate. You can get a degree at a university whilst achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Current undergraduate courses in Physical Education with QTS can be found by searching the UCAS website using the keywords ‘Physical Education QTS’.

If you’re a graduate and already have an idea of which training options suit you, you can search for a postgraduate course.
