afPE Approved Curriculum Providers (ACP) – Our CPD provider accreditation serves as a trusted benchmark for excellence in physical education training. Get Accredited Today!

To start the approval process, simply complete the Declaration of Interest form using the button below. This notifies our team of your intent to pursue accreditation and initiates the first step toward gaining trusted recognition from the Association for Physical Education. It’s a quick and easy way to demonstrate the quality and credibility of your curriculum CPD:



Windows of Application:

  • Monday 15th December 2025 - Friday 23rd January 2026
  • Monday 16th March 2026 - Friday 24th April 2026
  • Monday 20th July 2026 - Friday 28th August 2026

Cost and Duration of Accreditation:

Initial Application:

  • £600 + VAT (paid in instalments of £200 + VAT on an annual basis)
    If your application is unsuccessful, you will be able to reapply in the next application window free of charge. If your application is not successful on a second attempt, any future submissions will be charged at the full fee once you feel your organisation is ready to re-enter the accreditation process.
  • Lasts 3 years from Date Accredited

Renewal Application:

  • £390 + VAT (paid in instalments of £130 + VAT on an annual basis)
    At the end of your initial application, we invite you to renew at this reduced rate. If your application is unsuccessful, you will be able to reapply in the next application window free of charge. If your application is not successful on a second attempt, any future submissions will be charged at the full fee once you feel your organisation is ready to re-enter the accreditation process.
  • Lasts 3 years from Date Accredited

Please note that payments are non-refundable, so we strongly advise applicants to ensure their CPDs are in the best possible place before formally applying

Process for Accreditation:

  1. Complete the declaration of interest on the button above
  2. The ACP team will get in contact with further information and an official application form
  3. Submit your application to pdb@afpe.org.uk for one of the above application windows
  4. Process payment of your application
  5. Provide any login details and supporting documentation of your CPD
  6. Take part in a short online interview with two of our panel members to give a brief overview of your CPD and the rationale.
  7. Await feedback from our team as to the status of your application
  8. If your application is successful you will be provided with the Approved Curriculum Provider logo for your resources and signposted on the afPE website
  9. Revised submissions are allowed in the following application window. Re-application is required every 3 years
