2023/2024 Insurance Options
The options for afPE members are as follows:
Option 1 - included as standard within the membership fee for individual Full Members
Option 2 - £60
This is bolt-on cover for members working for a single school/establishment/agency but who also undertake some additional freelance work up to the value of £5,000
total income per year
Option 3
This is bolt-on cover for members working on a totally freelance basis, such as consultants, with an annual turnover of:
Up to £50,000 – £100 (Option 3a)
Between £50,001 and £99,999 – £340 (Option 3b)
Between £100,000 and £149,999 – £370 (Option 3c)
The costs outlined above (Option 2, 3a, 3b & 3c) are in addition to the individual membership fee, which is currently £135 for Full Members.

No, our annual membership does not automatically renew. We will contact members a month prior to renewal and will issue an invoice. Should you wish to go ahead
with the renewal, simply process the payment or let us know if you do not want to go ahead, and we will cancel the subscription for you.
Yes, afPE offers generous discounted rates for Multi-Academy Trust cluster memberships, please see the pricings below.
School membership categories/prices (for 12 months membership) are determined by the number of pupils at each of the schools.
Discounted Price Breakdown for Cluster School Memberships:
Schools with Below 100 Pupils = £60.00 (£69.00 RRP) per year
Schools with 101-300 Pupils = £80.00 (£105.00 RRP) per year
Schools with 301-600 Pupils = £90.00 (£125.00 RRP) per year
Schools with 601-850 Pupils = £120.00 (£165.00 RRP) per year
Schools with 850+ Pupils = £170.00 (£219.00 RRP) per year
Should you wish to proceed, then all we would need to do is be sent a completed spreadsheet including all of the different schools’ details and we can generate
a single invoice to cover all of the subscriptions. If a school is already a member, we can provide them a pro-rata refund for the remainder of their term
of membership. This helps us ensure all schools have the same membership dates. Please email membership@afpe.org.uk to discuss your requirements.

The number of accounts/logins that schools receive as part of their membership package with afPE depends on the size of the school, in terms of pupil numbers:
Schools with below 100 Pupils = 3 x Accounts/Logins
Schools with 101-300 Pupils = 5 x Accounts/Logins
Schools with 301-650 Pupils = 7 x Accounts/Logins
Schools with 651-850 Pupils = 10 x Accounts/Logins
School with 850+ = 15 x Accounts/Logins

Membership costs are subject to change on an annual basis
When submitting an application for membership or membership renewal whether online or by some other means, you will be required to accept these terms and
conditions. Our acceptance of your application which will create a legally binding contract between you and the Association for Physical Education
incorporating these terms and conditions
Your 365 day Membership Period will start once payment has been received and verified
Your membership will be due for renewal at the end of the 365 day Membership Period and a renewal notice with invoice will be issued one calendar month
prior to the end of the Membership Period
Non-payment of invoice will result in lapse in membership after 30 calendar days of invoice date
Cancellation and Refunds
We will assume that you do not wish to renew your membership if payment is not received by the due date (our terms are 30 days)
Membership (and insurance) fees are not refundable on cancellation
