Sure Breaking Limits Programme - FREE Curriculum-Linked PE Resources
11 January 2024
The Breaking Limits Programme is a FREE curriculum-linked PE & PSHE programme for Primary and Secondary schools which
has been double accredited - with the PE lessons accredited by the afPE and the PSHE lessons quality assured by the PSHE association. This programme equips young people aged 9-14 with the confidence to move, with resources designed to demonstrate
the power of movement to deliver physical, mental and social benefits by making it fun, inclusive and accessible for all, regardless of gender, race or ability. The programme includes resources for classrooms, gyms and assemblies with no specialist
knowledge required exploring three topics: Confident Mover; Team Player; and Goal Setter. As part of the programme, we are also super excited to introduce a new Breaking Limits competition, giving your
school the opportunity to secure a visit from a GB Olympian or Paralympian for an unforgettable Sports Day experience! Last year some lucky schools had the likes of Ellie Simmonds, Alex Danson, Becky Downie and Liam Heath attend their
sports days across the country.
All you need to do is sign up and download the free resources and run any of the three lessons then submit your students' entries into the competition by creating a visual, illustrating
how they've overcome a barrier to movement, whether personal or by aiding a classmate (e.g. boosting confidence).
Deadline to enter is April 29th 2024.
