Session Overview: In 2022, Ofsted published the PE research review which explored the literature relating to the field of PE. The purpose was to identify factors that can contribute to high-quality school PE curriculum, assessment, pedagogy
and systems.
They then undertook a review between November 2022 until June 2023 using this understanding of subject quality to examine how PE is taught in England’s schools. The subject report to share what has been learnt was published on 20th September 2023.
