afPE awarded tender to write new ‘Schools’ Athletics’ Strategy’

Association for Physical Education (afPE) awarded tender to write new ‘Schools’ Athletics’ Strategy’ afPE is pleased to announce that England Athletics (EA) and the English Schools’ Athletics Association (ESAA) have awarded afPE the tender to write a Schools’ Athletics Strategy for England. afPE will work with the EA and ESAA to produce a single schools’ athletics strategy that consolidates and clarifies the priorities and programmes for the sport which existing resources can be aligned with. The project will ensure that the strategy unites EA and ESAA as well as interlinking with the new National Curriculum for Physical Education. Sue Wilkinson, afPE’s Strategic Lead said: “afPE is delighted to have the opportunity of working with England Athletics and the English Schools’ Athletic Association. We are committed to ensuring that the new strategy will have a positive impact on all young people who engage in athletics.”
