18 April 2023
To continue to support our members and the PESSPA sector, the Association for Physical Education is scheduling regular webinars covering a wide range of diverse and topical subject areas. These will be specifically available for afPE members, although some will be open to the public. The next afPE webinar that we have scheduled is ‘The Crucial Role of Movement to Support a Whole School Approach to Children’s Mental Health’ - Title: The Crucial Role of Movement to Support a Whole School Approach to Children’s Mental Health
- Date & Time: Thursday 4th May 2023 from 16:00 to 17:00 with the opportunity for questions
- Delivered by: Stormbreak
- Description: In this webinar, Stormbreak, a charity that supports primary aged children’s mental health through movement, will share with colleagues their approach to help children to develop the skills and coping strategies to navigate the complexities of modern life. Educational and movement experts at Stormbreak will discuss the important, but often overlooked, role that movement can play in helping children to recognise, respond and regulate their feelings and emotions. Practical ideas, pedagogical approaches and resources will be shared with delegates to help them introduce the Stormbreak approach in their own school context.
