Contribute to Physical Education Matters
22 June 2016
22/06/16 The summer edition of Physical Education Matters is already available online and members will have now received your hard copies through the post. We hope you find it an interesting, enjoyable and useful read. As you are reading it, think about the people who contributed the articles – without them Physical Education Matters wouldn’t exist – and consider that they are just like you: practitioners who are passionate about physical education, physical activity and school sport and who want to make a difference by sharing their thoughts and work. Then, when you’ve had a bit too much of watching Euro 2016 or the Rio Games, put your fingers to work and share your own views. We welcome a wide range of articles on all topics related to physical education, physical activity and sport for children and young people. In particular, we are keen to hear from teachers about your work in school: what are you proud of? What have you done that’s made a positive impact on young people? What challenges do you face in your teaching? We are also keen to hear direct from young people on what physical education, physical activity and sport mean to them. These stories feature in the ‘Day in the Life’ section of the journal and can focus on participation, performance, leadership or wider learning. So swap the remote control for your lap top (there’s a whole summer of sport on TV so a couple of hours away won’t make a difference!) and send us your stories. The deadline for the autumn edition is 12th September. Just email: editor@afpe.org.uk A huge thank you to all those who contribute to Physical Education Matters. Carol Hawman (Editor)
