Angela James, who passed away in January 2017 at the age of 53, was the afPE Health and Safety Officer and Chair of the Heart of England region.  afPE has created a unique award to honour Angela’s memory and also to recognise her considerable and valued contribution to the work of the Association.

Angela was co-director of her own company ‘Learning About Healthy Active Lifestyles Ltd’.  The aims and values of this company form the basis for this one-off award, which will be presented at the afPE annual conference to be held at St George’s Park in July 2017. The winner will also receive a cheque for £250.

The Angela James Award is open to ALL afPE members and their schools.
