RIP Dr Len Almond

We are sad to report the passing of afPE Honoured Member, Dr Len Almond.

Len lost his long running battle with cancer on Friday evening.

Sue Wilkinson MBE, afPE’s CEO said:

“On behalf of the Association we would like to offer our condolences to Len’s family. Len was an iconic figure in the world of physical education, sport and physical activity. So many professionals have benefited from his vision, philosophy and practical advice/support. We have lost a much respected colleague who has left an incredible legacy for the sector and young people.”

Funeral Arrangements:

Len’s funeral will be held at St Mary’s Catholic Church (address details below) at 12.15pm on Friday, 2nd June.
