afPE Business Associate members Barnet Partnership for School Sport supported by Enfield PE Team are staging a Level 5 Certificate in Primary School Physical Education Specialism Course in the Autumn, details as follows:

Course details:

This course is considered an excellent use of your Primary PE and Sport Premium funding. It is a nationally recognised qualification that aims to upskill primary school teachers, higher level teaching assistants, TAs with experience of working within PE lessons as well as school based sports coaches. The intended outcome is to improve the overall delivery of the physical education curriculum within primary schools. On successful completion of this qualification, delegates will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and understanding to be able to improve standards of physical education. It is an ideal way to build capacity to deliver high quality PE, school sport and physical activity in your school at a time when children’s health (both physical and emotional well being) and the link to improved attainment and life style is well documented and recognised.

Dates and timings: (starting Autumn 2017) – 09.30am to 16.00pm – Each day will consist of both practical and classroom based workshops.

2. Wednesday 15^th November 2017
3. Tuesday 9th January 2018
4. Wednesday 7^th March 2018
5. Tuesday 8^th May 2018
6. Monday 11^th June 2018

Venue:

Sunnyfields Primary School, Hatchcroft, Hendon, London NW4 4JH (nearest tube station is Hendon Central) Please use public transport to access the venue as there is some parking on site but is limited.

The highlights of being school based for this course will be the opportunity to see and work with primary aged classes for PE.

Cost:

£1200 for one attendee
Cost on application for two attendees
Further reductions are available for 3-7 attendees booking from one organisation.
