afPE is seeking a dual English-Arabic speaker with an extensive background and experience in Physical Education.

Essentially the successful candidate will:

• Possess knowledge of curriculum design
• Hold a relevant degree in Physical Education
• Be fluent in Arabic
• Have the ability to translate English Physical Education Curriculum documentation to Arabic and vice-versa, using technically appropriate language
• Be ICT literate with Microsoft Office

Desirably the successful candidate will:

• Be qualified to Master’s degree level in Physical Education or Education Management focusing on curriculum design, pedagogy or assessment.

Notes:

• The translator role provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to join afPE’s international curriculum development team in their work constructing the PE Curriculum in Qatar
• This is a fixed-term temporary appointment (April – June 2018), based in the UK
• The role could be combined with full-time employment but candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • available to start immediately
  • ability to meet deadlines
  • able to maintain high standards of work under pressure
  • confidentiality
• Remuneration dependent on experience
• A short technical piece for translation will form part of the application process
