First aid learning for young people – Free online resource from the British Red Cross
05 September 2018
05/09/18 The British Red Cross is delighted to hear that the Government plans to add first aid to the curriculum in England. This marks a turning point in first aid education and will empower hundreds of thousands of young people with simple yet vital first aid skills. First aid is often taught as part of physical education and the draft regulations state that new programmes should complement and not duplicate other subjects. First aid learning for young people helps 11-19 year-olds develop the skills and confidence to help in a first aid situation. The free online resource covers 16 skills and includes lots of sporting scenarios, from heart attacks on the football field to head injuries on the badminton court through interactive and engaging activities. Click HERE how you can start teaching your class the skills they need to save a life.
