More than a game – Street Child Cricket World Cup
15 March 2019
15/03/19 In May 2019, a world cup with a difference will be coming to Cambridge and London – the Street Child Cricket World Cup! Street-connected 14-17 year-olds from Bangladesh, the DRC, England, Mauritius, Nepal, India and Tanzania will have their voices heard through the power of sport. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for schools to get involved with the work of Street Child United right on their doorstep. Primary and secondary pupils across Cambridge and London are invited to attend the free World Cup events at Parker’s Piece (Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May) and at Lord’s Cricket Ground (Tuesday 7th May). For information about school bookings for Lord’s and a free schools’ pack, contact Arts and Education Coordinator Laura Scott at laura@streetchildunited.org.
