15 May 2019
15/05/19 Calling all qualified PE teachers – Please spare 5 minutes to complete a survey on the inclusion of disabled children and young people in PE in England. What’s the study about? The DCMS (Dept. for Culture Media and Sport) claim that the 2012 Paralympic Games has improved equality for disabled people in the UK. Yet it has been recognised that many barriers persist for disabled people who want to participate in physical activity. The aim of this study is to investigate the suitability of initial teacher training (ITT) for the inclusion of disabled children and young people in Physical Education (PE) in England (at both primary and secondary levels). What does taking part involve? Teesside We would like qualified PE teachers to answer this short online survey about your experiences of ITT and teaching. The survey should take you around 5 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, you will also be asked if you would like to be interviewed as part of the study. You are free to withdraw from the study at any time and can ask for your answers to be removed from the study without giving a reason. Click HERE to take part in the survey.
