University of Worcester announce launch of the UK’s first MSc in Adapted Sport

On 10th January 2020, afPE Business Associate member, the University of Worcester will be launching the first MSc in Adapted Sport in the UK due to start September 2020. The course intends to build on their growing disability sport undergraduate programme by offering a postgraduate opportunity. This further enhances their reputation and dedication to inclusive sport.

The course has been designed for a wide range of professional profiles who may be teachers, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, researchers and graduates with an interest in disability and adapted sport. The teaching team boasts a number of dedicated staff who have a passion for inclusive practice and amassed a variety of national and international experiences, for example Paralympics and Deaflympics.

The event will take place from 5.30pm onwards. The session will start with a fun, informal hour of practical disability sport, followed by a short presentation by the MSc Adapted Sport Course Leader and then a free ticket to see the Worcester Wolves play Cheshire Phoenix starting at 7.30pm.
