The LTA (governing body of tennis in Britain) is offering free training to teachers, to encourage them to deliver the LTA Youth Schools programme in schools. On offer is a free 2-hour training course for primary teachers (qualified or trainee) and teaching assistants has been developed by teachers to help you deliver high-quality PE lessons with confidence.

The course supports a series of PE lesson plans and demonstrates how tennis can be delivered to a whole class of children in a small space and how it can be adapted and differentiated for all learners.

Every teacher attending the course will receive a free pack including:

  • An activity book with a range of ideas for warm-ups, activities and games
  • Pupil achievement certificates and stickers.

Teachers attending the course will receive a £250 voucher (limited to one per school) to spend on 10 hours club link support from a local LTA Accredited Coach. All schools who book onto a training course before the end of March 2020 will be entered into a prize draw to win a fantastic all-expenses-paid schools experience day at the National Tennis Centre.

There are courses available around the country so click HERE to find one in your area.
