Beth Tweddle Gymnastics: Free Physical Literacy Resources for Schools
08 September 2020
08/09/20 afPE Business Associate member, ‘Beth Tweddle Gymnastics’ has launched a series of free Physical Literacy resources to support schools on their return and to ensure PE is still at the heart of the National Curriculum. Already teaching gymnastics to over 30,000 young people and in over 300 primary schools, their aim is to provide opportunities for your pupils through bespoke programmes with teacher training support. Free of charge, schools will be given access to the 10-week scheme of work, aligned to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 outcomes across Science, PHSE and Physical Education, and centred around the development of physical literacy and ‘Beth Tweddle Values’. The complete 10-week programme can be used for the whole school and each week will focus on one of the Beth Tweddle Values such as Teamwork, Determination, Aspiration and Bravery. Your weekly pack will consist of videos and resources provided exclusively by Olympic Medallist and World Champion Gymnast, Beth Tweddle MBE.
