EOI Invited for the Role of EDI Consultant
22 July 2022
22/07/22 The Association for Physical Education (afPE) is inviting expressions of interest from consultants with expertise in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). afPE is a charitable company, a membership organisation and the subject association for physical education in the United Kingdom. We are the voice of PE and our vision is to support the workforce to put physical education at the heart of school life. We are proud to have recently launched our new strategy and as part of this, we are committed to ensuring that we exemplify best practice in all that we do in relation to EDI. To that end, afPE is seeking to appoint a consultant to support in the following areas: - To comment on our revised policy, drawing on your experience of best practice;
- To work with a Board sub-group and the senior team to develop a robust action plan;
- To provide a report (we are open minded about the appropriate format) to the afPE Board on current practice within the Association and areas for improvement;
- To develop a set of KPIs to allow us to track our progress.
We would like to complete this work by the Autumn of 2022. We are seeking advice on areas in which we should prioritise, but we anticipate that our appointed consultant will provide advice on board composition and recruitment, membership services, communications and how best we can support our membership to ensure that they are exemplifying best practice. Please submit your expression of interest (EOI) to afPE CEO, Sue Wilkinson (via admin@afpe.org.uk) in the first instance, after which a more detailed conversation about the project scope, specific requirements and budget can be arranged. The deadline for receipt of EOIs is 5pm on 5th August 2022.
