How long does it take:The delivery of this module (the course) is split as follows: - Pre-course tasks, which take approximately an hour
- A one hour webinar which includes discussing the outcomes from the pre course tasks and addressing aspects of gymnastics teaching in the primary school.
- A practical day (six hours) in a primary school setting where there is access to fixed and portable gymnastics apparatus.
Who is it for:Primary staff with QTS, PE subject leaders. HLTA’s and TA’s and sports coaches who contribute to teacher up-skilling
Delegates will; - develop their knowledge of health and safety principles in primary school gymnastic activity including moving and using large apparatus
- understand how to plan effectively to develop pupils' learning through gymnastics
- be more knowledgeable about teaching gymnastics skills in a safe progressive and inclusive way
