Workshop Session 1 (10:15-11:05)
In this workshop, Enrich Education will showcase practical examples of how schools can effectively integrate outdoor and adventurous activities (OAA) into their PE curriculum. Ofsted’s recent report on PE, "Levelling the Playing
Field: The Physical Education Subject Report," highlighted that OAA is often either not taught effectively or neglected altogether, with staff lacking the competence and confidence to teach this component of PE.
We will share resources and strategies to improve this area of PE in your school and explore ways to help colleagues feel more confident in delivering OAA. The session will also cover innovative methods to ensure all students
achieve 30 active minutes of physical activity daily. Additionally, we’ll demonstrate how cross-curricular outdoor learning can boost physical activity while enhancing academic learning across the curriculum. As the
sole education partner of The International Orienteering Federation (IOF) and the winner of the "Best Primary Resource Award" at the 2023 Education Resources Awards, Enrich Education will provide all workshop attendees
with a pack of our award-winning resources for use in their schools.

Join us to explore the groundbreaking Physical Literacy Consensus Statement for England, released in October 2023! This fresh perspective on physical literacy goes beyond the traditional focus on movement competencies
and fundamental movement skills, delving into the broader affective outcomes of how individuals connect with, think about, and feel regarding physical activity.
Understanding this relationship is crucial, as it shapes how we derive meaning and value from movement and the lifelong positive effects it can have on our lives. The quality of our connection to physical activity profoundly
influences our choices to stay active. Factors such as our social interactions, community involvement, cultural experiences, and the environments we engage in all play a significant role in shaping our physical
literacy.
Physical Education (PE) is central to a young person's experience of movement and physical activity. By recognising the wider impacts of PE, we can harness its potential to enhance young people's physical literacy for
the rest of their lives. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and learn how to foster a deeper understanding of physical literacy that can transform the way we approach physical education
in our schools!

Join us for a transformative workshop that explores how a ‘continuous provision’ setup in PE lessons can dramatically enhance engagement levels among neurodivergent pupils. Our findings show that this innovative approach
has led to significant improvements in progress toward Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets as well as PE curriculum objectives.
Originally initiated in a SEND school, our evidence demonstrates that this teaching and learning style is easily adaptable to mainstream settings, both primary and secondary. By implementing continuous provision, we
can promote inclusion, reduce anxiety for pupils, and break down barriers to participation in PE lessons, ultimately fostering greater engagement.
In this session, delegates will have the chance to reflect on their own PE lessons and consider how they are currently taught in their schools. You'll discover how a continuous provision setup could specifically support
identified groups within your school, creating a more inclusive and effective learning environment.

Join us for an eye-opening workshop presented by Women in Sport, where we’ll address the critical issue of gender stereotyping in sports. Research shows that girls as young as five feel they don’t belong in sports due
to early societal pressures, while boys also face harmful stereotypes that negatively influence their attitudes and behaviors towards girls in sports. This dynamic can create environments that exclude girls from
participating fully.
In this engaging session, we will share the latest insights from Women in Sport on how these stereotypes develop and persist, and we will discuss the implications for both girls and boys in sports. More importantly,
we’ll explore actionable strategies for practitioners to foster a new generation of boys who can become advocates for change, supporting gender equality in sports.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how you can help create a more inclusive sporting environment for all children, ensuring that every young person feels they belong in sport. Together, let’s empower the next generation
to challenge stereotypes and champion equality!

outlined in the SEN Code of Practice: Physical, Cognition and Learning, Sensory, and Social and Emotional.
Through engaging discussions and practical strategies, you’ll leave this workshop equipped with the tools and insights needed to create an inclusive PE environment that celebrates diversity and encourages participation
for every student. Don’t miss this opportunity to make a meaningful impact on your students’ physical education journey!

Join us for an impactful workshop designed to transform the way dance is taught in physical education! In light of Ofsted’s ‘Levelling the Playing Field’ PE report (2023), which highlights that two-thirds of schools
either do not teach dance or lack well-organised content, this session addresses a critical gap in PE delivery. Research indicates that many teachers feel uncertain about their subject competence, affecting
their ability to teach dance effectively (Gibbs et al, 2017).
However, PE teachers who approach dance with an open mind can create meaningful experiences for their students (Shilcutt and Oliver, 2023). This workshop aims to equip delegates with the knowledge, understanding,
confidence, and competence needed to successfully integrate dance into your PE curriculum.
Participants will leave with practical tools and strategies for teaching dance in a PE setting, empowering you to feel confident and capable in delivering engaging dance lessons. Together, let’s ensure that learning
is meaningful, enjoyable, and impactful for all young people! Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your teaching practice and enrich your students’ physical education experience!
