Subject Associations Website Launched

Subject associations are normally membership organisations, often registered charities, whose mission is to further the teaching and learning of the subject in schools. They are therefore independent of government though often share a number of objectives. They are interested in promoting quality in education and believe that this is done by supporting teachers and recognising and enhancing subject specialism.

Even though associations have different specialist interests, by definition, they also share a number of deep commitments and concerns. This has been recognised by the DCSF who have supported the creation of the subject associations website.

The main aim of the website is to provide a one stop shop for teachers to find appropriate sources of specialist subject focused support.

Click on the subject area of your choice or use the search engine to find the organisations working in your specialised field of interest.
