Director National Dance Teachers Association 3 days per week Salary £35,430 - £38,042 (pro-rata)
The National Dance Teachers Association (NDTA), recognised as the national voice for dance in schools, is seeking to appoint a dynamic and visionary Director to take overall responsibility for our programmes and provide strategic leadership to the organisation at an exciting stage of its development.
The successful applicant will be a pro-active and highly experienced dance/arts manager or teacher in a school at a senior level with:
• Passion, enthusiasm and commitment to dance for children and young people • Strong understanding of the dance/arts sector • The ability to lead, advocate and represent the NDTA at a national level
NDTA is based at offices in Lichfield but we are open to discuss flexible working arrangements. The post also involves some travel to meetings and events in London and other parts of the UK.
NDTA works to ensure that all young people in the UK have equal access to a high quality dance education. It is a membership organisation made up of teachers, dancers, lecturers and other dance and education professionals and organisations from across the UK and all over the world.

Project Coordinator Sport 4 Life UK Salary: £18,500 per annum Location: Birmingham, West Midlands Type of Contract: Fixed Term until 30th April 2012
Sport 4 Life are looking for a highly skilled sports coach to help coordinate and deliver its Street Sport project – an initiative that provides top quality coaching in football and other sports to underprivileged children and young people in local, inner-city parks in Birmingham. We are looking for an exceptional candidate, who has an infectious passion and enthusiasm for sports coaching, who has top quality sports coaching abilities, and who has an excellent track record as a community sports coach. We are looking for a candidate who can engage with and relate to underprivileged young people, and who is up for the challenge of delivering sports coaching in inner city estates week-in week-out, in the summer and in the winter, come rain or shine or wind or snow! The candidate must hold an FA Level 2 coaching badge and must be able to obtain a CRB disclosure suitable for working with children. Additional NGB coaching badges and a clean driving licence are also desirable.
The newly appointed Project Coordinator will (i) plan and deliver top-class structured, technical and fun sports coaching sessions designed to develop the sporting skills, physical fitness, and inter-personal and moral development of children and young people, (ii) set up and run sports teams, sports matches and sports competitions, (iii) support, mentor and train underprivileged young people, (iv) line manage assistant coaches and volunteers, and (v) an planning and delivering sports sessions that provide participants with informal learning and personal development opportunities in communication, team-work, leadership, respect, self-esteem, and confidence, (v) carrying out all project administration, including basic administration (consent forms, registers, session plans etc), monitoring and evaluation (progress reports), and financial administration (budgeting, funder paperwork etc).
The position requires a working week of Tuesday to Friday 11.30am–8.00pm and Saturday 10.00am-3.00pm
