Policy Advisory Group

Policy Advisory Group

The Policy Advisory Group (PAG) is designed to act as a two way channel of communication between the wider membership and the Board and Management Team (MT).

The PAG provides:

  • Connection between membership and Board
  • Critical, advisory voice on strategy – informing and contributing to the direction of the Association
  • Conduit for intelligence, bringing accountability to policy and accountability nationally & feeding back to the membership locally

The PAG has representation from the Home Countries and English Regions (HC/R) and from different interest groups (constituencies) among the membership.

These interest groups are:

1.    Secondary Specialists

2.    HEI Members (both ITT and researchers)

3.    Primary Teachers and Schools

4.    Strategic Managers (Advisers, Consultants, PDMs)

Every Member is allocated a HC/R when they join but is free to change this if they wish. Members are welcome to attend their local afPE meetings and can stand to be elected to their respective HC/R management committee.

The PAG meets three times a year and every HC/R and interest group has its own page on the members' only section of the website.

Region and Home Country management groups should meet at times that link to PAG meetings so that communication channels are effective for two way feed back.

Log-in to the members' area to view the webpage for your Home Country or English Region.
